NOURISH THE SKIN YOU'RE IN
Please get in touch if you'd like to contribute to our feature blog with your top tips we'd love to hear from you!
1. What do you do as part of a regular routine to look after yourself?
Attempt to be as mindful & conscious as I can. Use natural foods, avoid meat, gluten and dairy & sugars. Consume lots of coconut oil. Use herbs & oils for extra support & strength. I try to wind down by stretching, yoga, reading & sleeping. And I consume cultured food.
2. What are the key things you have found that nurture self-nourishment?
The key for me is to look after my gut health - if your gut isn't healthy then any weakness in the rest of your body's systems will lead to dis-ease. Good gut health is intrinsically connected to good mental health as well so I make a real effort to consume fermented foods & drinks to stay on top of my immune system. Having fun and finding joy in little things nourishes me - meditation and forgiving myself for any of my own perceived 'foibles'!
3. What could you do more of to nourish the skin you're in?
Hydrate more! Get more vitamin D! Maybe use more herbs and oils.
4. What top tips have you got to give others around your working life to stay on top?
Love what you do - otherwise find something else. Be in the moment, in the now, find pleasure in the small things. Be authentic, truthful and kind. Don't worry about 'staying on top'!
5. What are the things you couldn't live without that are key to your happiness and nourishment?
Be connected to family and friends, having a laugh - being silly & not taking myself too seriously. Probiotic foods and drinks and LOVE!!!
