NOURISH THE SKIN YOU'RE IN
We ask the dazzling Natalie Caulton, lead singer of 'You Want Fox' for her top tips to nourish the skin you're in
1. What do you do as part of a regular routine to look yourself?
I try and drink 2 litres of water daily, I always make sure I wash off my makeup at the end of the day, and aim to get at least 7 hours sleep. I moisturise my face, neck and chest each morning and I try and stay away from any unnatural products. I always use sunscreen.
2. What are the key things you have found that nurture self-nourishment?
I like to challenge myself, learn new things each week. Currently I am learning how to play the violin.
I do new things with my two sons and do my best to make sure they have the right start in life. I teach them that you can achieve your dreams if you put effort in to it.
3. What could you do more of to nourish the skin you're in?
I could eat more clean. It has to be said. I am a carb monster. I can go without chocolate and cakes - but take away my packet of crisps and I am a mess.
I eat plenty of vegetables, but not fruit. I need to eat more fruit.
4. What top tips have you got to give others around your working life to stay on top?
Be kind to yourself. Worrying is pointless, whatever you 'worry about' probably won't happen anyway. Keep stress levels down by taking time out for yourself.
5. What are the things you couldn't live without that are key to your happiness and nourishment?
I couldn't live without my babies (ok they're 7 and 9 now) they make me the happiest person on the planet. I also couldn't live without making music. It is the best way to get those emotions out there and release that nasty tension.
Natalie is a mum of two boys aged 7 and 9, a full time Operations manager at a visual translation company, Hawk and mouse, and a bass player and vocalist in a two piece girl rock band called You Want Fox.
You Want Fox has toured all over the UK, California and Netherlands.
