NOURISH THE SKIN YOU'RE IN
In the first of a new weekly feature we ask Marketing Strategist, Victoria Branch to give us her top tips that help to 'nourish the skin you're in'. If you'd like to contribute and be featured then we'd love to hear from YOU. Drop us an email at email@example.com.
1. What do you do as part of a regular routine to look after yourself?
Regular exercise is key for me as well as eating clean nourishing foods and the odd bit of cake for the soul! I balance the types of exercise so not to fatigue my body including yoga twice a week, circuit training and cycling. Getting out walking and running is also great and helps with clear thinking to support my business.
2. What are the key things you have found that nurture self-nourishment?
If I’m exercising regularly it encourages me to eat nourishing clean food pre and post, so in effect one feeds the other. This combination fills me with energy and puts me in a good mental space. I love the way my body feels when I treat it well, I truly wish I could bottle up and sell how exercise makes you feel.
3. What could you do more of to nourish the skin you're in?
I tend to stay up quite late watching mind numbing TV. Getting to bed earlier to read or meditate is one of my goals for this year to help me with quality, restful sleep. Oh, and less wine!
4. What top tips have you got to give others around your working life to stay on top?
We hear it all the time, drink more water and exercise regularly. It really works. I drink at least 2 litres of water a day and one of the tricks I have to keep me on track is to buy the large low cost bottles of water from the super market. It somehow makes it quicker to drink and I can easily measure what I’ve drank.
5. What are the things you couldn't live without that are key to your happiness and nourishment?
Yoga, friends, laughter, good food, fresh air, my hot water bottle and sleep. You only have one body, look after it, nurture it and love it.
