NOURISH THE SKIN YOU'RE IN
1. What do you do as part of a regular routine to look after yourself?
I try to start my day with some exercise, by walking/running with my dog, listening to positive audio, live by the 80/20 rule, and supplement my diet with Juice Plus capsules. 2. What are the key things you have found that nurture self-nourishment? Listening to or reading self development books. I think it's important to never stop learning, so I try to nourish my mind everyday, spend time with people I love to nourish my soul and heart, cook from scratch to nourish my body, and use Skin Elixir to nourish my skin. 3. What could you do more of to nourish the skin you're in? Drink more water!! I somehow never manage to drink as much as I should. 4. What top tips have you got to give others around your working life to stay on top? Never stop learning. Always think how you can give value, rather than what can you receive. 5. What are the things you couldn't live without that are key to your happiness and nourishment? I couldn't live without my family. Bio became obsessed with all things brows and lashes after losing my own during chemotherapy. A subsequent redundancy led me to turn this obsession into a career, and now I run my salon, beautifying brows and lashes, and haven't looked back. ![]() 1. What do you do as part of a regular routine to look yourself? I'm a great believer that every woman should invest in themselves. I love a good skincare routine that makes me feel like I'm pampering the skin I'm in and accepting myself. After a busy day of work or being with the kids, there's nothing better than sitting down and writing my blog and carrying out my daily ritual in skincare. My blog fills my need to stay active, portray my thoughts on beauty & skincare, while interacting with some great people. I love the outdoors, going on hikes and walks, throwing in a run if I can here and there. I try to stay as active as possible, as I'm a great believer that exercise not only has great health benefits, but great benefits to your mental well being. It's all about focusing on the positives and spending good quality time with my kids. Being the mum that they deserve to have. 2. What are the key things you have found that nurture self-nourishment? I'm a great believer in pushing yourself out of your comfort zone to improve as a person. If something scares you, face it and you'll flourish. That being said, I try and stay aware of how I am in daily life and recognising what I need to stay happy and healthy. It's hard when women work or have to look after children, women should never feel guilty about taking a little time and space for themselves in order to keep happy & healthy. 3. What could you do more of to nourish the skin you're in? Get better acquainted with natural, organic skincare and makeup! My collection is building and I can feel a huge difference already. My diet is my next area of improvement to look after myself from the inside out and generally get more healthy. 4. What top tips have you got to give others around your working life to stay on top? Take time for yourself. It's vital to staying calm and healthy. Look after yourself and be the person you want to be. I'm also a great believer in working together as a team rather than negatively competitive. Routine is key. Know what needs doing, when it needs doing by prioritising and never be afraid to talk and share your views and ideas in order to move forward productively. 5. What are the things you couldn't live without that are key to your happiness and nourishment? I couldn't live without my kids who keep me focused & grounded. Seeing them happy makes me happy. Making sure that they are well, happy, stimulated and growing as individuals with confidence. I also couldn't live without my skincare products that help me wind down and prepare for the day ahead and lastly my blog that keeps me stimulated and interested in the things I love. I may only have started, but I have never felt more alive as I write about what I'm passionate about and share it with others. I hope that in time, readers will take something positive from my blog and enjoy the skin their in. Bio: The Beauty Bank is a blog of discovery run by myself, Louise Williamson. I'm a 32 year old mum of two, Ella 4 & Lucas 15 weeks. I'm passionate about skincare & makeup, being a great believer that you can look great whatever age you are. And that having good skincare not only improves your skin, but boosts your confidence as you invest in yourself and love the skin your in. My blog is a journey into natural, organic skincare & makeup, the amazing benefits it has for your health & skin. As well as providing my advice & experiences of products as we go. After years of using conventional skincare & makeup that is chemically based, I've finally learnt that these products are actually more detrimental to your skins health rather than being beneficial. Finally, I have discovered natural products formulated from completely natural ingredients, with minimal reactions due to their nature, with great performance & fantastic results that far rivals its competitor.
