NOURISH THE SKIN YOU'RE IN
We were approached back in July by Jericka Lambourne of website review.com to feature a piece of their research, 'The Best Facial Cleanser' on our website. A little reluctant due to our ever growing love and interest in all natural products we recognise this review is thorough and will help, especially our American readers, discern a good facial cleanser from those less effective and potentially damaging options.
The 30-Second Review: The best facial cleanser should make quick work of makeup, dirt, and grease — all while being gentle to your skin. We consulted with skincare experts, scoured ingredient lists, and came away with a list of top-ranked cleansers. Then, we caked on the mascara, foundation, and other products to put our finalists to the test.
You can read Jericka Lambourne and co's full review and objective analysis from their website review.com here .
Bear in mind at Skin Elixir we keep things simply and use cotton wool and organic virgin unrefined coconut oil to remove make-up and cleanse, making sure, following this routine to thoroughly rinse skin with warm water. We do a twice weekly exfoliation with raw honey and sodium bicarbonate. To tone we use cotton wool with a splash of witch-hazel. We finish each night with a generous splodge of our own organic frankincense and May chang moisturiser which has a fantastically nourish effect over night.
Our Skin Elixir blog will feature ideas to nourish the skin you're in.
